Melissa Pierce

Melissa is a seasoned development leader with over 15 years of progressive experience in strategic fundraising, fiscal management, and leadership. She brings a unique and special combination of experiences in refugee work, Global South funding, and LGBTIQ advocacy that speak to her strong commitment to ORAM’s mission. For the past two years, Melissa served at Development In Gardening (DIG) as their Director of Development, refining and executing its global revenue growth strategy. Melissa has also led the fundraising efforts for Rise Against Hunger, the American Red Cross, and Equality NC. Melissa has a Bachelor of Arts in French History and holds certifications from the University of Pennsylvania and Africa Unfiltered. She is based in Raleigh, North Carolina.
